New Mixtapes for the 3rd Week Of August 2014

Here are a few of the newest products added to the site for the 3rd week of August 2014.  Superstar Jay was gone from the game for a few weeks, but now he is back with number 169 of the “I Am” series.  This release is full of new music from artists such as Remy Ma, Troy Ave, French Montana, Vado, Joe Budden, Gucci Mane, and many more.  Be sure to pick this mixtape up because you will not be disappointed.  Next is DJ Jerzeyboy, DJ Shooter, DJ 007, DJ King Flow, and DJ Bando bringing you the 6th volume of the “Down South On Lock” mixtape franchise hosted by Yung Homi.  This edition plays you music from the mixtape host, Criminal Manne, OJ Da Juiceman, Snoop Dogg, Yo Gotti, Young Buck, Slim Thug, Doughbeezy, Wiz Khalifa, and more.  The mixtape titled “Welcome To New Atlanta” displays talents from three of Atlanta’s newest artists to enter the rap game.  Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug, and the southern hip hop group Migos have the stage on this mixtape and will surely please you with their beats and lyrical prowess.  The last mixtape to be reviewed is from Biggy Jiggy.  The 3rd volume of “Exclusiv Tunes” contains music from Drake, Eric Bellinger, Busta Rhymes, Murda Mook, Raekwon, Frenchie, Young Dolph, Soulja Boy, J Doe, Joell Ortiz, and more.

One of the best and original mixtape DJs in the game is back.  Big Mike returns with 3 new August 2014 edition titles from his popular “R&B Jumpoff”, “Something For The Radio”, and “Soundtrack To The Streets” franchises.  The “R&B Jumpoff August 2K14 Edition” is a mixtape you will definitely want to get.  Some of the best tracks on this mixtape are Usher’s “Don’t Mind”, Jason Derulo “Kama Sutra”, Ma$e and Eric Bellinger’s “Need Her For Nothing”, Trey Songz and Nicki Minaj “Touchin n Lovin”, and Kirko Bangz featuring August Alsina “Wanna Be Rich”.  Next is Big Mike’s “Soundtrack To The Streets August 2K14 Edition”.  This mixtape has music from Cam’ron, The Lox, Red Cafe, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Redman, Styles P, and other street emcees.  This is more of a mixtape for the lyricists.  Finally, “Something For The Radio August 2K14 Edition” gives you the latest summer hit records from Drake, T.I., K. New mixtapes added today from DJ Padrino, DJ 3 Stacks, and DJ Instynctz.  DJ Padrino is a Coke Boys affiliate DJ and drops the mixtape titled “Cocaine Economy”.  Featured music on this mixtape includes Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot Nigga Remix” featuring French Montana.  Remy Ma was just recently released from jail and did her own remix of the track “They Don’t Love You No More”.  There is also a track on this mixtape with Young Jeezy featuring Gucci Mane titled “Me Ok Remix”.  DJ Padrino’s “Cocaine Econony” has a lot of new tracks that hip hop fans will be pleased to hear.

10-track G-Unit mixtape with the group’s newest music and freestyles

We are halfway through the summer and this is the first edition of the hottest products to be released.  One of the bigger events in hip hop was at this year’s “Summer Jam” when G-Unit announced they were back together.  All of the members are back except for The Game who was not an original member of the group.  The original G-Unit consisted of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo.  Young Buck joined when group member Tony Yayo was incarcerated at Riker’s Island.  West coast rapper The Game also joined the group, but soon afterwards came to differences with it’s members and left.  This mixtape showcases the group’s latest projects since they announced their reunion.  They have gone back to their original mixtape format of releasing their own versions of today’s current hit music.

J Cole releases official mixtape titled “Any Given Sunday”

This week 4 years ago, Frankfurt, West Germany born and North Carolina raised, J. Cole who was discovered by Jay-Z released this official mixtape titled “Any Given Sunday”.  With this release at the time, J. Cole stated he would give away some format of music weekly until his debut album dropped.

Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy, who gained success from music released through YouTube, released the mixtape titled “21”.  This mixtape EP had 7-tracks from the Chicago born artist.  That year he released 9 mixtapes as follows:

Gucci Mane and Future released this official mixtape titled “Free Bricks”.  Featured on this mixtape was 2 Chainz, who was previously known as Tity Boy from the rap duo Playaz Circle.  Production on this mixtape came from some of today’s well known producers such as Zaytoven, Drumma Boy, Mike Will, and a few others.

Yo Gotti released the 6th edition of the Cocaine Muzik mixtape series.  This release was 20-tracks from the Tennessee rap artist and hosted by DJ Drama.   Appearances with the Epic Records artist included Young Jeezy, Starlito, Zed Zilla, and Sylver Karatz.  Production came from Drumma Drama, Lex Luger, Beatz R Us, DJ Montay, Kane, and Lil Lody.

 

July Official Mixtapes for 1017 Brick Squad Records

1017 Records released more official mixtape projects continuing into the month of July 2014.  Young Thug, who has been said to copy his cover artwork from one of Wiz Khalifa’s albums, drops the 2nd edition to “1017 Thug” on July 11, 2014.  This release has 10-tracks and appearing with the newly signed 1017 Records rapper are Quavo and MPA Wicced.

Next for official summer mixtape releases is the “Felix Brothers” mixtape.  The Felix Brothers consist of Young Dolph, Gucci Mane, and PeeWee Longway.  This mixtape contains 15-tracks from the down south trio with features from OJ Da Juiceman, Strap Da Fool, MPA Duke, and MPA Wicced.  It seems Gucci Mane has released more music since he went to jail for a 3 year prison sentence.

The final official mixtape release for July by 1017 Brick Squad Records is by incarcerated down south boss Gucci Mane and is titled “The Oddfather”.  The release is 15-tracks and has more features than his the previous mixtape projects released this summer.  Guest appearances by OJ Da Juiceman, Blaze Servin, Young Thug, PeeWee Longway, Young Scooter, and Keyshia Kaoir.  Production on this release is mainly done by C4.  With all this new music, maybe Gucci Mane does better with releasing music while in jail.
