New Playlist First Week Of April 2018

Today is the fourth of April 2018 and some people are still experiencing winter like conditions.  A few baseball home openers in the New York area have been postponed because of snow and cold weather.   In some areas of the United States, temperatures have seemed to be more spring like over the past few days, but will dip down again over the weekend until the middle of next week.  If you plan on staying indoors til then, we have some new funk for you to check out while you wait for winter to finally make it’s exit.

The first of mixtapes to be reviewed comes from DJ 1Hunnit.  He drops off the 4th installment of the TrapSettaz free music downloads collection.  Look for new songs on this compilation by Valee, Pusha T, Scotty Music, Lil Baby, Soulja Boy, Skooly, 2 Chainz, Yolo Ru, Joe Moses, Future, Doe Boy, Q Da Fool, Gucci Mane, Bankroll Fresh, Street Money Boochie, Coogi Doogi, Don Juan, Ray Goss, and many other rap emcees.

Next, DJ Arab is back on the scene with another title in the “258 Mafia Playlist“.  Do not be fooled by the title, this release does not contain your usual pop hits that you would expect to find on a compilation like this.  DJ Arab brings you nothing but raw and street emcee mixtapes with this franchise.  Lyricists making the cut for this volume include Nas, Future, Jadakiss, Nino Man, Flowboy Vegas, M3tymes, Jim Jones, Yo Gotti, Cardi B, Young M.A., Remy Ma, Styles P, Whispers, Tony Moxberg, A Boogie, Bodega Bamz, Grafh, Papoose, Dave East, Vado, Burl Dollah, Westside Gunn, Conway, Jay Critch, Rick Ross, and many more.

Third, DJ Iceberg and DJ Reddy Rell give the block another one of their jam packed releases, fully loaded with new songs currently in heavy rotation.  These two drop off the 98th installment of the music catalog labeled “Hip Hop TXL”.  Get ready for over 4 hours of music, because as always with these mixtapes, they are jammed up with funk.  Artists on this release such as Ty Dolla $ign, Smokepurpp, Lil Yachty, Offset, Murda Beatz, ScHoolboy Q , Tyler The Creator, BlocBoy JB, 21 Savage, Joey Bada$$, Migos, YBN Nahmir, Gucci Mane, and a ton more of today’s performers.

DJ Supreme The Great returns to the game with another release that contains 37 tracks.  He brings out a product labeled “The Perfect Storm”.  On this playlist, we have new songs from YFN Lucci, G. Herbo, Chris King, Trippie Redd, YG, Mozzy, Lil Pump, French Montana, J Balvin ,Ke Paso, OGB, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Droop Smith, JayDaYoungan, Slim Thug, and much more.

The last of the mixtapes to be reviewed in this blog post is from one the internet’s favorites, DJ Murph.  He cooks up another edition of the “Time To Put In Work” series.  Part 29 contains tracks from rappers such as Gucci Mane, Yung Mal, BangGang Jizzle P, Tee Grizzley, Marco Green, Lil Dude, Weebay, Skip Santana, Rayza, Lil Yachty, Offset, Young Nudy, 21 Savage, LoveLifeLoui, Nook, MoneyBagg Yo, and others.

 

Final Day Of February 2018 Non-Leap Year

Today is February 28th, 2018 and that means it is the last day of the shortest month of the year.  Every 4 years a leap year occurs which adds one day to this month, but the next one is not until 2020.  The spring equinox is only a few weeks away and occurs on March 20th, 2018.  The United States is already starting to get a taste of the spring weather with the current mild temperatures.  While most of you are enjoying the warmer changes from the frigid winter we just had, here are some new releases to check out.

DJ Easy, who hails all the way from Germany, just released the 9th volume in the series called “Pimpin Ain’t Easy“.  This installment of the franchise is hosted by Sy Ari Da Kid.  This release consists of a compilation of music by the host, Tinashe, Future, Eric Bellinger, MoneyBagg Yo, Tory Lanez, T.I., Birdman, Nathaniel, Gunplay, Genius, Chris Plenty, Keys N Krates, Cassie, Chris Brown, Travi$ Scott, Kid Ink, Ne-Yo, Sage The Gemini, Narley Jenkins, Truestory Gee, Drake, and other industry performers.

The host of DJ Easy’s latest product just released a retail album titled “After The Heartbreak”.  It contains 19 tracks with guest appearances by Kissie Lee, Eric Bellinger, Derez De’Shon, K. Camp, Verse Simmonds, Asiahn, and Lewis Sky.  Preview the release below through Spotify.

Next, DJ Ben Frank is back with another release that is strictly for the streets.  He gives the hardcore hip hop fans part 19 of the “Only For The Plugs” collection.  Look for cuts on this drop by emcees such as Hoodrich Pablo Juan, BR3, Koly P, Boosie Badazz, Twockupp, Solo Grip, Mdeezy, Lil Durk, Dro Fe, DrugRich PeSo, Ofohraeband$, YG, Parris LaDame, Blac Youngsta, G. Martin Luther King Jr Holiday Weekend Music

On Monday, January 15th, 2017, we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy.  He is one of the most well known black activists in the history of the United States.  What will you do to remember all that he did to fight for African American equality?  We have some new drops for you to check out in this edition of blog reviews.

The last of the mixtapes to be reviewed in this blog post comes from Mr. Crack.  He just released another classic “best of” product titled “The Best Of Bad Boy Volume 1”.  When he releases these types of drops, it’s not the usual compilation of commercial tracks that are found on these types of releases.  He brings you some of the hottest songs that didn’t really get heavy rotation at the time.  Check out vintage hits on this drop by artists such as 112, The Notorious B.I.G., Ma$e, G-Dep, Craig Mack, Faith Evans, Carl Thomas, Lil Kim, The L.O.X., Black Rob, Eminem, Shyne, Lil Cease, Busta Rhymes, Mr. Bristal, Jay-Z, Total, Mr. Cheeks, Puff Daddy, Black Rob, and Method Man.  Be sure to browse through the site and check out all of Mr. Crack’s mixtapes.

Playlist To Start Off December 2017

The month of December is currently underway and that means only a few weeks are left of the 2017 year.  Weather across the United States has turned quite cold for this time of year as some states in the deep south are seeing 3 or more inches of snow.  While you are inside trying to keep warm and avoid the harsh cold, we have some music that will help you to get through the frigid conditions.

It is the first day of 2017 after the Halloween festivities.  Many people partied over the weekend since the holiday occurred on a Tuesday this year.  We have a round of new music for you to check out if your head still isn’t pounding from the hangover you may have had after the weekend celebration.
